Snap Nation, start your engines! I’m thrilled that Snap Fitness will again be a primary sponsor for Landon Cassill and his No. 40 race car in this year’s Sprint Cup Series. He is a tremendous athlete and leader who is dedicated to working hard in order to reach his goals, which is an attitude we see in our clubs across the country.
In 2014, Snap Fitness became the first wellness franchise to partner with NASCAR. The exposure we received last year with NASCAR was astounding. Aligning America’s Fitness Brand with one of the most popular sports in the U.S. was a total game-changer.
Fitness is a huge part of Landon’s life. That’s one of the reasons why our sponsorship ties so well together. In addition to backing Landon on the track, Snap Fitness will support his triathlon training in hopes of qualifying for the 2015 Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Austria. This week, we announced a Snap Fitness brand remodel featuring a modern, sleek aesthetic update. Our goal is to provide franchisees and the rest of Snap Nation with a new look and feel without compromising the quality workout experience our brand is known for.
The most prominent feature of the redesign is the custom wall options that feature hundreds of Snap Nation members. Franchisees can choose either a unique full-color collage or an American flag collage that they can customize with their own images of members, personal trainers, and more. Each new club will adopt the updated design, with redesign opportunities offered as an option to current franchisees.
The Chanhassen, Minn. club attached to our Corporate Headquarters was the first location to be redesigned. Watch the video below to see our new look!

It’s a very exciting time for Snap Nation! I’m proud to announce that Snap Fitness has signed a master development agreement for the United Kingdom with TwentyTwoYards Ltd. This group plans to open 200 locations over the next four years. The UK isn’t the only place we’re expanding; our Indian franchise partner has plans to bring 300 new clubs to the second most-populous country in the world.
Since selling its first franchise in 2009, Snap Fitness India has expanded rapidly with 50 clubs open or in development. Snap Fitness India CEO Dr. Virkam B.M. announced plans of opening 300 additional clubs by the end of 2017. The company, which is pursuing new locations in cities including Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Raipur and Kolkata, was recently named “Franchisor of the Year” at the Franchise Awards 2014, India’s topmost honor in franchising. Snap Fitness India is also looking at an initial public offering once it reaches 100 clubs.
With a total of 500 clubs opening over the next four years in the UK and India, Snap Fitness is expecting to increase its number of clubs 25 percent. The importance of living a healthy and active lifestyle transcends cultures. Our entire team is thrilled with this news and can’t wait to bring our 24/7 fitness concept to new communities and make a difference in people’s lives.
I am fortunate to have had success in my life, but none of that would have been possible without giving back to the community. I feel it is my responsibility to give to others what I have been fortunate enough to have received in my life. There is no better way to show your gratitude than paying it forward. Giving back not only opens doors you didn’t know existed, it gives you a sense of purpose and belonging.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked with Common Hope, an organization that provides opportunities in education, health care, and family development for impoverished children and families in Guatemala. We’ve donated $25,000 annually to help students in Guatemala. I am happy to see that through our aid, teachers have been able to donate nearly 2,000 hours to mentoring first grade students. That is an accomplishment I am proud to be a part of!

I am excited to announce our upcoming initiative with National Public Health Week on April 7. When you consider that physical inactivity costs Americans $75 billion a year*, we want to do our part at Snap Fitness to help change the culture of sedentary living across America.
My goal is to give everyone the opportunity to jumpstart a healthier lifestyle by offering a nationwide “Get Fit Week” to coincide with National Public Health Week. I want to make it accessible for all to get seven days of free workouts at Snap Fitness starting April 7. My hope is that in offering a complimentary week at Snap Fitness, people will get moving and it will help them on their path toward a healthier lifestyle.

As you may already know, giving back is something I feel very passionate about. I am always looking for ways to give back or help a particular cause. It is important that Snap Fitness as a brand, give back to the community. We have been fortunate enough to partner with some incredible organizations around the world, which is something we will continue to do.
This month, Snap Fitness was a proud sponsor of the 2013 American Heart Association Milwaukee Heart Walk! We just wrapped up a 2 week Facebook ‘Like’ campaign, which helped raise $3,130 for the cause. This is just the beginning of our partnership with the American Heart Association. Snap Fitness will be working with the American Heart Association in the near future to help spread the word about cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
